Accept our sincere sympathies in the senseless loss of your dear Malik. I have found the words of Psalms 46:1 really comforting. It reads: "God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress."
Our loving God is there for us if we ask for his help (1 John 5:14). I also have come to know that has made the SURE promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).Can you imagine yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones?
You can find at jw.org more about how our God, Jehovah, will do all this for us.

My condolences to the Tyler family. I'm so sorry to hear about the untimely loss of dear Malik. Some Bible scriptures that have helped me during times of loss include Isaiah 26:19 and Psalm 37:28,29 which states in part: "Your dead ones will live...They will rise up". And the Bible also says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will forever reside upon it". Therefore the Bible promises that we may be reunited with our loved ones lost in death by means of an earthly resurrection. This is further confirmed by John 5:28,29 which says "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". This is possible thanks to Jesus Christ's ransom sacrifice. Thus we have a genuine hope of everlasting life in a world without wickedness or suffering.

I send my deepest sympathies to Malik's family. Malik, you will not be forgotten. I pray for strength for your family. I pray that as a community and world, we can learn from your senseless death and find a way to stop the violence and hatred. I pray for blessings on your two brothers who were also students at YMLA, that they may not become hardened and angry, but instead use their grief to help build a better place. Carrie Esch
