Elder Mack Maloy Barrett, Sr.

Elder Mack Barrett passed away May 18, 2020 at the age of 66. He was born February 10, 1954 in Hopkins County to the union of Joe Cecil and Ella Mae Warren-Barnett. Elder Mack leaves to mourn his passing a wife of 46 years, his grade school sweetheart, the love of his life, First Lady Elizabeth Timmons-Barrett.
He gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was the musician at Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ where he was later appointed as a deacon. July 19, 2013, Minister Mack Barrett, was ordained as an elder in the Church of God in Christ, by the Late Bishop T.W. Johnson. On June 25, 2015, he was appointed Pastor of the Linden Church of God in Christ by Bishop Nelson J. Gatlin. He as employed by Banks Tire Company and was a former supervisor at Walmart Automotive.
Elder Mack Barrett was preceded in death by his parent Ella Mae Barrett and Joe Cecil Barrett; siblings, Lillie Faye Barrett and John Henry Turner and God-Sister Margie McQueen.
In addition to his wife he leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter Faith Barrett; one son Mack Barrett, Jr. of Sulphur Springs, TX; two sisters, Wilma Jean Nelson (Floyd) and Lottie Mae Moore (Donald) James Barrett all of Sulphur Springs, TX. Sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws. Aunts Loretta Biggs, Eddie Mae Hick and Hulene Person. Seven grandchildren; Kyra Cork, Tyrek Cork, Galen Wright, Kaylenn Barrett, Tianna Shepp, Mack Barrett III, Josiah Barrett; Four great-grandchildren, Keidric Frazier, Princess Macon, Kordae Mosley, Kimari Hill and host nieces, nephews and friends.

im so sorry to here this he was a very very nice man.he and his wife were custormers of mine at superhandy.he also had purchase a pickup from my brother in law several years ago.

He was one of our absolute favorite customers at Family Video. We all loved getting to see & visit with him & his grandbabies. Such a sweet & loving soul. He will definitely be missed by us all. Sending love & hugs to his family. The world will be a little bit darker place without him.
